Heather never disappoints with any of her novels. Every romance leaves you craving more. Her romances are quite addicting -)
I loved every second of this book, the camaraderie with the girls, to the dare, to the relationship and the complicated lives of the two main characters. I can't wait to see more of Zip and Tony, they just sizzle off the pages. So when is the next book out, Heather???

There's a lot of oomph packed into this novella. Tony and Zip aren't shallow characters indulging in an attraction that's been simmering for a while. They're realistic and believable, from their individual histories to occupations, to their current situations and emotions.

And what I loved the most was Zip's friends' support throughout the entire story. The Martini Sisterhood isn't just the name of the series; it's a nod and a raised glass to the power of true friendship.
Shaken (The Martini Sisterhood #1) by Heather Long, is a steamy novella set in New York City. It is about five best friends that know each other inside and out. Every Friday night they meet after work at Coveted, one of hippest bars in Midtown Manhattan to enjoy great service, cocktails, and good conversation. This book focuses on accountant Zip Collins and the bartender at Coveted, Tony Giordano.

Zip and Tony have been attracted to each other for about a year, but were unable to do anything about it until recently. When Zip gets a little tipsy, she asks Tony out and he readily accepts. Within a two week period, their lives are completely transformed and their future is bright.

This is a fast-paced read with lots of scorching heat. The characters are fun, likeable and well-defined. I am looking forward to reading more from author Heather Long, and can't wait for book two in this series to be released.
Great start to a new series about 5 friends. They've been friends since college. Now they are all grown up and single again. They have standing plans every Friday involving great food, friends, atmosphere, and several pitchers of martinis. This book focuses in on one of the women from the martini sisterhood, as they've come to think of themselves. And now a bit about the story...

Zip is the cautious one, an accountant by trade. She is practical and always has a plan. She has sworn off men she works with after her last fiasco. Being the first to arrive at Coveted, the local bar the sisters go to each week, she is in their booth pretending to read her romance novel while the whole time she is watching Tony, the sexy bartender. That night all the girls are able to make it -- Veronica, the lawyer, Lucy, the doctor, Kaley, an artist, and Jem, who is in advertising. Jem brought about her latest assignment, remarketing the Magic 8 Ball. After many rounds of drinks, Zip (who never had the toy growing up) asks a few questions and between the ball, her friends, and liquid courage, she faces her fears and asks Tony out. Great ready for a whirlwind!! Can't wait for the next one....

- Accountant. If his accounting teacher had been half as interesting to him, he'd have enjoyed the class a hell of a lot more.
- After giving him an hour to feel sorry for himself, she kicked him square in the ass to do something about it. She'd acted the part of confidant, best friend, and drill sergeant all rolled into one.
