This is the second book in the Ties that Bind series. In the first book Terri introduces us to the 3 most amazing women I’ve ever read about. This installment (book 2) is a kind of continuation of that story, but leaning more towards their family, their children to be exact. It’s a very difficult book to read in a good way. You may not ever know how far you’ll go to protect what is yours until you’re actually face to face with the evil that threatens to destroy it. I loved this story and everything about it, in it, and what it stands for!

I can’t really say too much about the story without giving it away, but you should know this… This story will make you laugh out loud, cry out loud, and believe it or not, it will make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. It’s was riveting and passionate. These women are my heros in every way!

The story was compelling from book one to book two. The characters are extremely commanding and draw you into the most brilliant story. The dialogue flows nicely and feels and sounds natural and the tension is non-stop. Sheesh Terri, you made my ticker leap outta my chest a few times!! I love you, I love this story, and I love how your words make me feel. You totally rock!!!

First time I have wished I could give a book more then 5 stars. Running from beige was fantastic. This book. WOW ! I really couldn't put it down until I read "The End" I loved the ending so much I had to reread it 3 times. Priceless !!!!!
This is the 2nd book in The Ties that Bind series and it was so full of emotion just like book 1. You feel joy, pain, sadness...everything while reading this books. Terri Marie really captures something special with this series. It feels so authentic to what you would experience in real life. I absolutely love this series, I will (not) be waiting very patiently for the next book!!! )
Abuse... survival and finding your voice. This is what Author Terri Marie's novels are all about. I was excited to find this sequel to "Running From Beige" as I wanted to know what happened to the women I fell in love with. Strong portrayal of characters and a plot to die for..you won't want to pass this one by. "Don't mess with mamas who love their children" as you will find out in "Secrets by the River."
Secrets by the River book 2...I am speechless!!! I HAVE to say that I absolutely wanted to crawl into this book and beat some ass!!! Wow what a freaking bitch she was!!!

Terri was able to show again, the strength that Connie, Suzy, and Karen has..True friendship sticks together. Through thick and thin. These 3 ladies have been through so much and STILL comes out of any situation as winners!!! I was the happiest person at the end. Can not reveal that part, you'll have to read it for yourself...

This series will leave your heart pounding, tears rolling and you speaking out loud saying.."Oh no she didn't" and "that bitch" this book is a must turn page to read more..even though your eyes wanna close to sleep....

In "Secrets By the River", it is a number of years later, and you probably not recognize these strong and lovely ladies. Suddenly they are made to realize that there is another, worse and more dangerous threat to someone they all love. To what lengths will they go to prevent this potential disaster?
This book will reach out and capture your attention from the start. You will recognize just how far these ladies have come, but you will not believe what they are in for. I never saw it coming. This is a book that I literally could not put down. I stayed up all night to finish it, and it was well worth the hung over feeling the next day. This book had me sitting up in bed, thinking that I couldn't believe what was happening. I cheered, I cried (a lot), and even thought "No way!".
That's about all I can say......that Auther Terri Marie has written a book that will tug at your heart strings and make you feel empowered. I would just tell you to read. It. Now!
I was not sure how this book was going to be because Running From Beige was such an emotional book. Once again you had us holding on waiting to see what happened next. It's great to see 3 women who all were strangers deal with what they had endured and continue on a friendship and stay as close as they did. Always there for each other.
Reminds me of our special group and how we all are there for each other. We found each for one reason or another and I am happy to call them friends.
Once again Terri Marie another amazing and emotional book.Well done and I am looking forward to many more of your books to come.
